Quiet and clean room. Inside the hotel it's really safe. Close to the metro station Lapa - about 5 minutes walk. But be extremely careful if walking - see below.

The neighborhood is definitely not safe. Avoid walking around when dark, be extremely careful during the day. Do not show any valuable things on the street, preferably use taxi to get there. The air conditioning was not too efficient. Staff does not speak English and our request for having breakfast earlier was not handed over when the receptionists changed.

Hard to say... since we decided to forget about the money spent and move away after the first night.

The hotel is located in a very dangerous neighborhood by night. So dangerous that the taxi driver refused to drop us off 20 meters away and didn't leave until he saw that we managed to enter the hotel. Yes, it is cheap and close to the city center but, when the night falls, the only way to get there is by taxi. The room had a blind window (because of the glass) and an impressive number of small ants. The wifi was working only in the corridor. The "half board" promised in our reservation was, in fact, a breakfast served in the room consisting of: one slice of ham and one slice of cheese per person, a cup of coffee, a small bread, a small butter and a fruit. Almost everybody speaks only Portuguese, with the exception of the manager who also speaks some Spanish.
